Valerie founded Knowledge Sherpa in 2015 to help organizations of all sizes leverage their knowledge in order to achieve their goals. She’s a people-focused leader with twenty years of experience driving strategic change and performance excellence. She’s known for quickly producing quantifiable results for her clients.

Valerie earned her M.S. in Information & Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University in the City of New York.  She led the Columbia University Information and Knowledge Strategy Community of Practice,  a worldwide community offering advice and support for students, alumni, faculty and sponsors invested in the strategic potential of information management and collaboration.

Valerie earned her B.S. in Information Resources, summa cum laude, from the University Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  In 2017, she was recognized by the UWM School of Information Studies (SOIS) as one of their 50 Distinguished Alumni.  She currently serves on the SOIS Academic Advisory Council and coaches students in the SOIS nonprof-IT program.

Valerie serves on the board of the Wisconsin Chapter of AIIM, the association for intelligent information management.  She is also a member of PMI and ASQ.
